Product Overview

Crafted of pine veneers, the bed is finished in Maduro, a rich brown with grey undertones for a casual appeal. Bed includes the headboard, footboard and rails. Inspired by a two-week trip through Europe in search of architecture and antiques full of vintage character, Hooker Furniture introduces the Traditions Collection. Targeting a design-oriented consumer with a sophisticated style, the whole home collection – one of the largest in company history – uses familiar forms to present a nostalgic, yet comfortable aesthetic. Layered with fresh elements, the group offers an updated presentation that speaks to a storied past, yet easily transitions into today’s interiors.

Finish Construction:

Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.

Frame Construction:

Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.

Headquartered in Martinsville, Va. where we maintain a corporate office and several distribution facilities, Hooker Furniture employs around 800 people at our Virginia and North Carolina locations. Our high-fashion custom upholstery by Sam Moore Furniture is manufactured in Bedford, Va. Much of our upscale leather upholstery line is manufactured in Hickory, N.C. by Bradington-Young. Hooker also imports an extensive line of wood bedroom, living room accents, dining room, home office and home entertainment furniture and some leather furniture from factories around the world. These include factories in Asia, Mexico and Central America. The design and engineering of these imported furnishings is all carefully overseen by Hooker or Bradington-Young in compliance with our high quality standards.

Hooker is known as an active, contributing corporate citizen in the Virginia and North Carolina communities in which we work and live. Our company is a leading contributor to charitable organizations such as the United Way, education and the arts, and our employees provide service to these organizations through volunteerism and board memberships. The Hooker Educational Foundation has awarded more than one million dollars in scholarships to over 300 children of company employees since its inception in the 1990's.
